technology

How technology was integrated into your education? What specific experiences (projects) do you remember? Why do you think you remember them?
Technology was integrated in simple ways. For example teachers would make us do projects that included the use of a computer's program. Such as: powerpoint, flash, real player, etc. A specific project I remmeber is one we made with Mr. Whitten were we learned how to record a song in a program called real player. I remember this because it was challenging but a lot of fun.

Is there times you can recall that you feel your teachers should have integrated technology in their lessons? What were they?
Not really. We have implemented technology in all our classes, I cant recall of a moment were we lacked of technology experience.

Why do you think that they didn't?
They didnt beacause it wasnt necessary.

rotovideooooo

Although it was a lot of work, and somewhat hard to accomplish it, the ending result is pretty cool. The idea of getting all of our videos together will look great. If we were to do it again I think we need another teacher too help us, beacuse one is not enough! Since we are not familiar with the program it was pretty hard to do the work. If I had another chance I would make my drawing much more detailed. Since everybody said it wasnt important, I decided to do it very simple. But at the end I realized the ones that are much more detailed look better.

About a year ago my dad's family and us had a huge reunion in monterrey. We all gathered to have lunch, ride horses, play cards, ride bicycles, etc. . It was a lot of fun, I saw all of my cousins, aunts, and uncles. I even met new family members! This took place  in my uncle's house. We stayed for about a week. Hopefully we will have another reunion this year.

I chose this tree beacuse its simple and big. I have plenty of space to put all my family members. Besides its very pretty, even if its a drawing.

video post

A couple of months ago we saw a similar video, but it had to do more with population, education, and how challenging is to get a job these days. Instead, this was focused on social media. What I like about these videos is the way they are presented. They instantly catch your attention by displaying several images, fonts, up beat music, and most of all facts. Its loaded with tons of fascinating facts, things you would never imagine. They are shown one after another, so it constantly keeps your interested. Not a single moment of the video was boring.

Several facts caught my attention. For example: I can't believe "1 out of 8 couples married in the U.S. last year met via social media!", imagine in a couple of years...this number can easily double!  Its not something Im against, but its somehow odd that in a couple of years most people are no longer going to meet in person for the first time! Also the fact that "80% of companies are using LinkedIn as their primary tool to find employees".

It is obvious that we are now living in a completely technological world, social media has become the modern industrial revolution. You're either part of it... or simply out of this world. It is important for us to learn how to use the available resources in order to hope for better opportunities in the future, either concerning possible jobs, education, etc.

1st blog

I really dont know much about blogger, all I know is how to customize it, add contacts, and actually create a blogg. I expect we are all going to use it to post topics of our interest and be able to share it to everyone in our class. I was able to create my blog by watching a youtube video, it was pretty easy. We all solved the blog list problem today by using facebook.
